Mujhe Shikayat Hai...

When i was a child, I used to read a magazine "Sarita". In which there was a regular column called "Mujhe Shikayat Hai". In this various people used to send the problems they have with others. When i read my blogs i feel that my blog is only a lengthy version of the same :) . Just full of complaints in different form :) ... some social some personal. Isn't it ????

Our Doctor

My wife usually remains ill and so we have a regular doctor to whom we go. Till date she was very good for us, listening patiently and paying proper attention. But yesterday my wife had pain and so today we have to take her to the same doctor in Narendra mohan Hospital as the dr. does not sit today in her private place. I could not go with my wife because of office and the rest was a worth experience.

The dr. here sees 3 patients at a time. She will not even listen you properly. She blamed everything on my wife and my wife had to return without any proper medical advice. Looks like she was not happy that we chosen Narindra Mohan Hospital instead of her private clinic and she made sure that we have to meet her again ( and possibly at her private ward as one always wants to get proper medical advice )

Here i also remember the occassion when my wife had to be submitted in Ambe Hospital. And When i remember the experience there, I lose the faith in saying that "Doctors are the form of GOD". First they sent me in the most costly ward without even asking me. Charges there were also quite interesting. For breakfast, which included two bananas and a little porridge, the charges were 100 rs. ( probably matching the charges of a five star) .The experiences of my relatives and friends are also more or less same with hospitals. I understand everone needs to earn money but i wonder where are we headed towards, with this kind of money making attitude...

Caste Reservation

Reservation has been quite a controversial issue in past few years specially after Mundal commision report during V.P. Singh regime.

We cannot deny the fact that in India, Caste system played a role and lower casts got less opportunities for progress. It is a cycle which follows in a way :- If I am rich, My children will get proper schooling, I can also afford the donations of Technical and other professional degrees , so my children will get jobs and so on .... Now on the other hand If I am poor, my children will not get proper education as the condition in government schools is poor and i can't afford the sky touching fees of private institutes, for the same reason they will also not get any professional degree . It will also be better for me that instead of study they become an earning hand ( which is usually very low but helps a lot at that level). So this cycle continues and rich remain rich and poor remains poor.

Reservation was brought into the system to break this cycle, and give a thrust to the economically downtrodden people which usually belonged to specific class. It was with a noble intention and a must to bring the equality in the society. But somewhere down the line, The implementation took the political turn and things got messed. But here i would like to point out that we cannot neglect the requirement to support our economically week people.

The issues raised by the people who are against reservation, are also quite genuine. A person who has got a job because of reservation but is capability wise inferior to his teammates will cause problems and cannot perform as desired. And where the requirements are critical like IAS, IPS,Army,  doctors etc... it becomes a cause of concern. Even this will be an embarrassing situation to the person itself.

So what could be the solution ??? Probably instead of reservation in the jobs it should be at the primary level in studies or basically free education for them. It already exists but we need to implement it with honesty. We need to bring awareness at grass root level about these things so that people are aware about the policies and get benefited by them. We also need to bring the government education system at par with the private education so that students of these could compete with anywhere.

Until we do this, Caste system will keep haunting the India in the form of caste politics, caste riots and RESERVATION.

Just thinking of joining Congress...

From last many days i was thinking of joining congress (I even applied on their website but got no response) and yesterday i got the news that former Indian captain Moh. Azarrudeen will be a candidate in next poll on ticket of congress. The person who put the prestige of county at stake for monetary benifits and was banned for entire life from professional cricket. 2-3 days back, there was news of some history sheeters joining BSP. But basically each party has these elements just in differing ratio. When i see this scenario , it makes me feel sick that if i think of joining politics, i will have to work for/under/with these kind of people.

But on the other hand, it is because of this scenario, that more of common people(like me ;) ) need to come forward and join politics. Only then the corrupt ones could be brought in minority. Also I m not  joining congress because of its performance or great policies or great leadership, it is just because of the glorous past it has,the leaders like Gandhi and Patel, the role it played in the freedom struggle and how it brought the political awakening in the mass. And these things still are there for me have enough reasons to join the congress. But i just wonder whether i will be able to continue with my old principles in this scenario or not. I will be able to answer it in next 5-6 years after spending some time in the field , so till then lets wait and watch...

If Politicians are bad...

When i was in JNU there was a saying written on the walls ," If you call the politicians donkeys, you will ultimately be governed by the donkeys". Politicians are the reflection of society and if they are a blot, actually society itself is not better. Lets consider the common people around us. A clerk wants bribe to take action on any file.A postman wants sweets to deliver the important mail. A policeman wants u to give 100 rs to him instead of paying 500 rs fine. A doctor will somehow make sure that you keep visiting him frequently. So basically everyone is making money or trying to make money.Than why we call shit only for our Netas.

The problem is just that we are jealous of them because they are making big bucks. But after all they come after spending huge money at put their life at risk in this process, so i feel they also deserve this .Because except the size, they are doing the same thing what rest of the society is doing .When anyone close to us gets elected we are happy that our tasks will be done easily, but when it is not the case and someelse is being benifitted we cry for corruption.

I m not trying to justify whats politicians are doing today. The point i want to make is that , the way we are, we do deserve this.  The simple solution to this problem is that more clean people join the politics. But it will be possible only when there are more clean people in the society. So ultimately what turns out is that we need to correct ourself and than expect anything from others or in this particular case from politicians....

Life is like a drive

Did u ever feel that life is like a drive. Most of the rules and experiences of life and drive are same. Like some times u have to follow a slow person because ur side lanes are not free(ur boss is less talented than u ;) ). U have to stop on traffic signals to follow the traffic rules( Social obligations huh... ) .U choose a lane that stop moving ( luck is not favouring u ) or the lane choosen by u cruises( luck is favouring u :) ). And finally both does not have any final destination ....u keep driving if u have vehicle and u keep living if u have a life

Punishment

I wonder why in India we don't hesitate while breaking rules and the reason which appears suddenly before me is that because we don't get punished when making a mistake. What I mean to say is that driving above 60km/hour is not permitted,.... but if i drive over 60km/hour then also nothing is going to happen. Either we should not make a rule or we should try that it is followed letter by letter.
